The Building Inspector is responsible for the application and enforcement of the building code and related ordinances regulating construction, alterations and the use of buildings within the City of Shorewood.
The City of Shorewood enforces the Minnesota State Building Code which provides minimum standards to safeguard life, property and the well-being of the public. It accomplishes this by regulating and controlling the design, construction, and quality of materials used in building projects. The City of Shorewood has adopted the Minnesota State Building Code.
