Work on Pleasant Avenue is paused until the project team starts sewer work on July 22. Pleasant Avenue will be closed to all traffic starting just west of Lilah Lane (beyond the residences) and past the Birch Bluff Road intersection until the road is reconstructed.
Smithtown Road will continue to serve as the detour route. Pleasant Avenue is expected to be open by the end of August.
Construction in the Pleasant Avenue area, including restoration, is expected to be complete this year except for the pouring of a final layer of asphalt in 2025.
